Episode 12: The Ethical Journey of a Veterinary Professional and Animal Advocate

Dr. Isabelle Tancioni is a licensed veterinarian in Brazil and California with a master's degree and a doctorate in Immunology. After realizing the importance of veganism for the well-being of animals, she has never turned back and remains a steadfast advocate for the animals.

Collaborating with veterinary environmentalist Silvia Neri Godoy in 2018, they initiated the Veg Vets project, aiming to establish the first network of vegan, vegetarian, and veggie-friendly veterinarians in Brazil.

Dr. Tacnioni actively engages in initiatives supporting underserved communities through organizations like Rural Area Veterinary Services and World Vets. In addition to volunteering with the San Diego Humane Society and the San Diego House Rabbit Society, she contributes articles and book chapters on rabbit shelter medicine for Brazilian veterinarians.

Dr. Tancioni is committed to aiding animals and their human companions, and advocating for rabbit welfare through social media platforms.
