Challenging the Status Quo and Creating Positive Change in the Veterinary Profession

If there's someone with decades of experience challenging the status quo and advocating for animal protection within the veterinary profession, it's the esteemed Dr. Nedim Buyukmihci.

Dr. Ned didn't let the voracious dissenters he faced throughout his career hinder his dedication to acting in the best interest of all animal species.

Alongside a team of dedicated students, Dr. Ned instituted alternatives to killing animals in the teaching curriculum at the University of California, Davis. Inspired by this, many veterinary schools across the United States followed suit and ended their harmful use of animals in their training curricula.

Dr. Ned continues to work with many animal protection and welfare organizations around the world, particularly in ending the non-human primate trade for the 'pet' and research and testing industries.
