Veterinarians Against Ventilation Shutdown Women’s basic organic t-shirt

$27.50
Millions of animals are being killed using the most barbaric methods imaginable in response to emergencies and disease outbreaks. They are not humanely euthanized, they are killed using heatstroke. First used in response to the slaughterhouse bottleneck from COVID-19, it is now being used to kill birds during the 2022-2023 avian influenza outbreak. Known as ventilation shutdown plus (VSD+), it involves sealing up barns and pumping in heat and steam until the animals inside die after slowly suffering for many hours.

More disturbingly, the AVMA condones this method as part of its “Humane Endings Guidelines” which includes the Guidelines on Euthanasia, Guidelines on Depopulation and Guidelines on Humane Slaughter. VSD+ is listed as a method to be used in" constrained circumstances" in the Guidelines on Depopulation, but sadly, it is becoming one of the most common methods used to kill animals in response to avian influenza outbreaks, and ag secretaries are pushing for it to become a "preferred" method.

Encourage the AVMA to reclassify the mass killing of animals via heatstroke as "not recommended" and protect the veterinary profession's reputation as caring advocates for animals with this T-Shirt!

Even if the AVMA does reclassify killing via heatstroke as not recommended, producers can still use it, but under current systems, they will not receive taxpayer bailouts in the form of USDA indemnity payments for their losses, and this would hopefully encourage them to put plans in place to treat their animals with less cruelty.

Comfortable, casual, and so soft—this women’s basic organic t-shirt will quickly become your go-to tee. Order your next eco-friendly essential and enjoy feeling cozy all day long.

• 100% organic cotton
• Fabric weight: 4.57 oz/yd² (155 g/m²)
• Slim fit
• Round collar with ribbing
• Self-fabric neck tape
• Enzyme treatment for a soft touch
• Blank product sourced from Bangladesh

This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
